The Museum of the Department of Anthropology can be traced back to the establishment of the Institute of Ethnology at the Taihoku Imperial University in 1928. The collections consist of cultural artifacts of Taiwan Indigenous People collected mainly from the 1920’s to the early 1960’s and prehistoric artifacts excavated from archaeological sites in Taiwan.

Since 1945, NTU Archive has been recording the academic development and the effort of NTU members. In August 2007, NTU Archive Room was established after moving to NTU’s Shuei-yuan Campus. Since then, it has turned the once purely official documents into historical memorabilia.

Insectarium, Department of Entomology, NTU is established in 1936 and it has now become a historical treasure with important components from Taiwan. The collection includes some historical specimens which are over 100 years old, as well as many rare species...

The Museum of Zoology was established in 1928 during the Japanese colonial period and many valuable animal specimens have been collected since the beginning. In the early days, recording the fauna of Taiwan and its neighboring areas, such as southeastern Asia and Hainan Island, was the major purpose of the collection.

NTU Department of Geosciences owns a plenty of precious collections of fossils, minerals, and rocks in excess of 3,500 specimens. The sources of these specimens include researching specimens, education specimens, personal contribution, and sampling of professors and students of department of Geosciences.
